From the Producer
Old Grand-Dad was created by Raymond B. Hayden and named after his grandfather, Basil Hayden Sr., a well-known Kentucky distiller whose portrait still appears on the label. The Hayden family's first commercial distillery dates to 1840, and the brand has continued through several changes of ownership since. Old Grand-Dad is distilled at the Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, and is today produced by Suntory Global Spirits. The 80 Proof bottling is the entry-level expression in a range that also includes a 100 Proof Bottled-in-Bond and a 114 Barrel Proof release.
