From the Producer

Jacques Selosse is a récoltant-manipulant (grower producer) based in Avize, run by Anselme Selosse, the fourth generation of his family to farm vines in the village. The estate was an early pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Champagne and is widely cited as one of the first grower estates to bottle under its own label with serious lees ageing. Selosse wines are fermented in oak barrels rather than stainless steel, with extended lees time and low dosage. The Lieux-Dits range is drawn from named single-vineyard parcels — most famously Les Avizes, La Côte Faron and Le Bout du Clos — and is sold as a Caisse (case) of six bottles, each label carrying the specific lieu-dit.
