Hobbs of Crossroads is a small California Cabernet Sauvignon producer in St. Helena, Napa Valley, founded by winemaker Chris Hobbs. The Hobbs label sources fruit from Napa Valley's most-coveted vineyards, including Beckstoffer To Kalon; Beckstoffer Vineyards has farmed To Kalon since the 1970s and the To Kalon vineyard in Oakville is widely regarded as one of Napa Valley's historic Cabernet sites. The 2008 California growing season was defined by widespread fires and difficult ripening conditions, giving concentrated but lower-yield Cabernet Sauvignon across Napa; the 2008 Hobbs bottling was released in small lot quantities. The original wooden case (OWC) is the maker's presentation box as shipped from the winery, used here as a collector piece.
