Domaine Henri Boillot Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Mouchère 2014 is a white Burgundy premier cru Chardonnay from the Clos de la Mouchère monopole on the Puligny-Montrachet slope. Clos de la Mouchère is a walled Puligny premier cru vineyard on the brown limestone soils of the appellation.
About This Wine
Clos de la Mouchère is a walled Puligny-Montrachet premier cru owned and farmed as a monopole by Domaine Henri Boillot, on brown limestone soils that produce tightly structured, ageworthy Chardonnays with the kind of fine saline lift Puligny is known for. The 2014 white Burgundy vintage was a classically cool, structured year, producing ageworthy, finely balanced Chardonnays with bright acidity. Fruit was hand-harvested, sorted and pressed gently before fermentation and barrel ageing in oak in the Boillot cellar before bottling.

About the Domaine
Domaine Henri Boillot is the Meursault-based domaine Henri Boillot founded in 1995, drawing on a family viticulture tradition that stretches back to the early 1900s in Volnay. The domaine farms in Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Mouchère (a monopole) and Volnay Fremiets, with white wines looked after by Henri and the red wines run since 2012 by his son Guillaume. White wines are pressed and fermented in oak and aged on the lees before bottling.
