The GlenDronach distillery in the Highlands is known for full-bodied, sherry-cask-driven single malt, and for a long history of stock passing between owners and independent bottlers before the brand's modern revival under BenRiach/Brown-Forman. Ian Macleod Distillers is an independent Scottish bottler and blender (also owner of Glengoyne and Tamdhu) that has released single-cask and small-batch GlenDronach selections outside the distillery's own range; a 1975-distilled cask bottled in 2009 reflects roughly 34 years in wood, consistent with GlenDronach's reputation for very long, sherry-influenced maturation.
