Buffalo Trace releases the Antique Collection as a set each autumn: George T. Stagg, William Larue Weller, Thomas H. Handy, Eagle Rare 17 Year and Sazerac 18 Year, with Stagg as the bourbon centrepiece. The whiskeys mature in the brick rickhouses on the Sazerac-owned Frankfort site in Kentucky, where temperature swings across the floors produce very different results from barrels filled on the same day. Only a small number of those barrels are held back for the Stagg vatting each year, which is the reason no two annual releases taste alike and why the line is followed year by year rather than as a single fixed product. The 2020 release was bottled uncut and unfiltered at 130.4 US proof, or 65.2% ABV, in 750mL.
