George T. Stagg is produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky and named after the 19th-century bourbon figure George T. Stagg. The expression is part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, an annual limited release of uncut, unfiltered straight bourbons and ryes selected from specific barrel sites in the distillery’s warehouses. The mashbill is the same high-rye Buffalo Trace bourbon recipe used for the distillery’s other traditional bourbons such as Eagle Rare and the standard Buffalo Trace. Each year, the master distiller blends together barrels deemed ready for the George T.
