About This Bourbon
Released in June 2017, this barrel strength Small Batch marked Al Young's 50 years at Four Roses.
Young and master distiller Brent Elliott chose the blend together: 50% 13 year old OESV, 25% 15 year old OBSK, 20% 12 year old OBSF and 5% 23 year old OBSV.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Caramel and honeysuckle, with dried apple and cherry.
- Palate: Soft and fruit-led.
- Finish: Gently drying, with a cool note of mint.
Serving & Food
Drink it neat from a Glencairn and give the older whiskey time. Apricot tart or dried figs suit the stone fruit.

How old is the blend? 12 to 23 years.
Why the old-style bottle? It replicates the 1967 bottle and label, the year Young joined.

About the Distillery
Paul Jones Jr. trademarked the Four Roses name in 1888, and its distillery at Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, dates from 1910. Kirin owned Four Roses from 2002 until E. & J. Gallo bought it in April 2026.
