Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) is the most celebrated wine estate in Burgundy, founded in 1869 and now run by the de Villaine and Roch families. The domaine holds the entire La Tâche vineyard as a monopole — one of only two such holdings alongside the eponymous Romanée-Conti vineyard — together with parcels in Grands-Échézeaux, Échezeaux, Richebourg and a handful of white-wine sites in Le Montrachet and Corton. Production at DRC is famously small and allocation-based, with wines released through a long-standing list of specialist merchants worldwide. The 2015 vintage in Burgundy was a warm, generous year that produced ripe, opulent Pinot Noir across the Côte, and La Tâche 2015 sits among the most celebrated releases of the vintage — broad, perfumed and structured for the long term. Magnum format adds rarity, ageing potential and presentation value to an already scarce bottling.
