La Tâche is one of Burgundy's two great monopole Grand Crus, owned and bottled entirely by the domaine.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) is the most celebrated wine estate in Burgundy, founded in 1869 and now run by the de Villaine and Roch families. The domaine holds the entire La Tâche vineyard as a monopole — one of only two such holdings alongside the eponymous Romanée-Conti vineyard — together with parcels in Grands-Échézeaux, Échezeaux, Richebourg and a handful of white-wine sites in Le Montrachet and Corton. Production at DRC is famously small and allocation-based, with wines released through a long-standing list of specialist merchants worldwide. The 2014 vintage in Burgundy was a classically structured, cool year that produced wines of bright acidity, fine tannin and notable ageing potential — La Tâche 2014 carries the precision and floral perfume that have made La Tâche the benchmark Pinot Noir of the domaine, with the six-bottle banded OWC format adding both rarity and presentation value.
