About the Domaine
Domaine Bizot is a small estate of around 3.5 hectares run from Vosne-Romanée by Jean-Yves Bizot, who took over from his father (a full-time paediatrician at the hospital in Beaune who had been renting out most of the family's vines). The domaine farms old vines across tiny parcels of the Côte de Nuits and produces very limited bottles even at village level. The total annual production is around 10,000 bottles in a normal vintage, falling to 5,000 in difficult years such as 2010 and 2012.
