Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2003 — 12-Pk OWC is a sealed producer-issued wooden case of twelve 750ml bottles of Domaine Bonneau du Martray's Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru white Burgundy from the warm, ripe 2003 vintage, sold as a complete original case.
From the Producer
Domaine Bonneau du Martray is a historic Burgundy estate based in Aloxe-Corton and is the sole owner of a significant share of the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru vineyard, making it one of the most important white-Burgundy producers in the world. The domaine has been biodynamically farmed since the 1990s and is today run by Stéphane Follin Arbelet alongside the de Montille family. Corton-Charlemagne is the white Grand Cru of the Corton hill, traditionally bottled as a Chardonnay of generous texture and ageworthy depth. The 2003 vintage was an unusually warm, sun-rich Burgundy year producing richer, more tropical whites than usual, and is now at a drinking plateau. Each OWC was assembled and stamped at the domaine for direct shipment and carries the producer's case markings matching the bottles inside.
Best For
Best suited to collectors and restaurants wanting a complete original wooden case of mature Corton-Charlemagne from a single Domaine owner, or for cellaring the bottles in their producer-issued case.
