Bond Quella 2013 750mL

BOND Quella 2013 750mL is a single-vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from the Quella cru, on the north-eastern side of the valley. It is offered as a fine-wine purchase for collectors or for service at the table.

From the Producer

BOND was established in Oakville, Napa Valley in 1996 by Bill Harlan of Harlan Estate, and has been run by his son Will since 2020. Where Harlan Estate is modelled on Bordeaux, BOND takes its cue from Burgundy: a set of small, individually farmed parcels bottled separately, each made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, with roughly 450–600 cases produced per cru per vintage. Cory Empting has worked at the winery since 2000 and has been director of winemaking since 2012. Quella, the youngest of the five crus and added in 2006, takes its name from the German "quelle", meaning a pristine source or artesian aquifer. It lies north-east in the valley, west of Melbury, on steep south-west-facing slopes with volcanic ash soils and cobblestone from an ancient riverbed. Antonio Galloni of Vinous described the 2009 Quella as "exotic, ripe and racy to the core".
