Bond Pluribus 2013 is a single-vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Bond's Pluribus parcel on the steep slopes of the Mayacamas range — a cooler, more mineral Bond bottling than the Oakville-sourced St. Eden, built for long cellaring.

Bond is Bill Harlan's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon project, focused exclusively on single-vineyard, Bordeaux-style wines from carefully selected hillside sites. Pluribus is one of five original Bond vineyards, sourced from a steep, rocky parcel on Spring Mountain District / the Mayacamas side of the Napa Valley, where well-drained volcanic and Franciscan soils produce a Cabernet Sauvignon of cooler climate profile — firm acidity, pronounced minerality and tightly wound tannin. The 2013 vintage in Napa was an outstanding, classically balanced year, and Bond's mountain sourcing gave Pluribus a structure built for very long aging.

• Nose: Blackcurrant, crushed slate, dried bay leaf and savoury graphite.
• Palate: Dense mountain-fruit core with firm, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity running through the wine.
