Domaine Aurélien Verdet is a small Hautes-Côtes de Nuits estate farmed organically and biodynamically by Aurélien Verdet. Les Monts Luisants is a celebrated Premier Cru vineyard in Morey-Saint-Denis, sitting high on the slope above the village at the border with Chambolle-Musigny, on limestone and white marl soils that give Pinot Noir its most mineral, perfumed expression. Verdet’s Monts Luisants is whole-cluster fermented and aged in a low percentage of new French oak, producing a finely textured, ageworthy Pinot that combines the structure of Morey with the lift of Chambolle.
