About This Whisky
Glasgow's own single malt distillery makes Auchentoshan, and the 12 Year Old is its everyday bottling: triple distilled and unpeated.
It matures mostly in refill casks, with sherry wood adding a nutty edge.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Toasted almond, vanilla and orange zest, with cereal sweetness and a hint of spice.
- Palate: Smooth and easy, with honey, orange, malt and light oak.
- Finish: Medium length and clean, with nutty sweetness and a little ginger.
Serving & Food
Drink it neat, over one large ice cube or in a highball with lemon peel. It is light enough for dim sum or grilled prawns.

About the Distillery
John Bulloch built Auchentoshan in 1823 at the foot of the Kilpatrick Hills near Glasgow, and Suntory has owned it since 1994. Every drop is distilled three times, and the new make comes off at about 81% ABV.
