Auchentoshan 12 Year is an approachable Lowland single malt with a softer, triple-distilled profile that works especially well for drinkers who prefer elegance over peat or heavy sherry. It is a reliable everyday premium whisky and easy gift option.
From the Producer
Auchentoshan is a Lowland single malt Scotch distillery in Dalmuir on the outskirts of Clydebank, founded in 1823 and now part of Suntory Global Spirits. It is one of only a handful of Scottish distilleries that practises triple distillation, using a wash still, an intermediate still and a spirit still, which yields a delicate, unpeated spirit matured mainly in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks (Wikipedia, "Auchentoshan distillery"). The 12 Year sits at the heart of the core range, bottled at 40% ABV and built around refill and first-fill sherry wood.
