About This Whisky
A private single cask of Springbank distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2009 at ten years old for a Danish group of whisky-loving golfers, Torsdagsherrerne of Fredericia Golf Club.
It spent ten years in ex-bourbon oak in Campbeltown.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Honey, malt and lemon zest, with vanilla, sea spray and a little light smoke.
- Palate: Oily and powerful, with sweet barley, pepper, orchard fruit and a salty tang.
- Finish: Warming, with brine, pepper and oak that hold on.
Serving & Food
At 59.5%, add water. Serve it with smoked salmon on rye or salted liquorice.
