Springbank floor-malts all of its own barley and distils two and a half times, a method unique to Campbeltown, with every stage from malting to bottling done on the one site. Alongside its own range the distillery has long sold individual casks to private buyers, who choose their own bottling date and title - which is why labels like this one carry a personal occasion rather than a series name. Private casks never entered trade distribution, so the outturn is whatever the single cask gave.
