About This Bourbon
Shacho is an eleven-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Gentleman's Cut, finished in new Mizunara oak barrels from Hokkaido.
The mash bill is 78% corn, 13% rye and 9% malted barley.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Sandalwood and temple incense over caramel, with toasted coconut and cinnamon.
- Palate: Rich and layered; brown sugar and vanilla first, then creamy coconut and a spicy, resinous wood note mid-palate.
- Finish: Long, with baking spice, vanilla and a lingering incense-like dryness.
Serving & Food
A Glencairn or small tulip at room temperature suits it; add a little water to draw out the coconut. Pair it with teriyaki black cod or grilled wagyu.
