Long hints of umami sweetness that sits on on the palate with honey, caramel and vanilla that evolves and carries on for minutes.

Best suited to enthusiasts of mature aged spirits, gifting on milestone occasions, and after-dinner service. Neat or with a drop of water is the recommended tasting approach. Amazing as a cocktail such as Old Fashion or High Balls.
Tasting Profile
Honey and fresh vanilla bean on the nose. Caramel and cinnamon on the palate, with a peppery edge from the 21% rye. The finish is long: cocoa, toast and toasted chestnut arrive first, and underneath them sit honey, a floral lift and a note of dark fruit that keeps going well after you have swallowed.
Give it air. Twenty minutes in the glass and it is a softer, sweeter whiskey than the one you first poured — the honey and the dark fruit come forward as it opens. The same is true of the bottle: it is better a week after opening than on the night you pull the cork. At 45% it does not need water. Give it time instead.

Temperature-controlled from Kentucky to Hong Kong
We booked a temperature-controlled container. When it turned out to be loading in a plain steel box we cancelled the whole thing and recalled it.
