Gentleman's Cut is Stephen Curry's Kentucky straight bourbon, aged five to seven years and bottled at 90 proof. It is made in a copper pot still in Boone County, Kentucky, and has a rich, honeyed style that works neat or in cocktails.
About This Bourbon
The mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. After pot distillation the spirit goes into new charred white oak barrels for five to seven years, then is blended and bottled at 45% ABV. The corn gives honey and vanilla sweetness, the rye adds earthy spice, and the small share of malted barley brings cocoa and toast. It opens up noticeably with a little time in the glass.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Honey and fresh vanilla bean, with candied oak and a spicy, earthy edge.
- Palate: Rich caramel and cinnamon, then cocoa and toast, with a peppery lift from the rye.
- Finish: Long and polished, with toasted chestnut, honey and a hint of dark fruit.
Serving & Food
Pour neat into a Glencairn and wait ten to twenty minutes; it softens and sweetens as it breathes. It also makes a very good Old Fashioned or a highball with chilled soda. Try it with barbecued pork ribs, salted caramel desserts or a cheeseboard with aged Cheddar.

About the Distillery
Gentleman's Cut launched in May 2023. It is owned by Game Changer LLC, a joint venture between Stephen Curry's company SC30 Inc., Napa winemaker John Schwartz of Amuse Bouche, and Boone County Distilling Co. in northern Kentucky. The flagship bourbon is distilled, aged and bottled by Game Changer Distillery in Boone County.
Boone County Distilling traces its name to a distilling tradition in the county going back to 1833 and sits on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour. It distils in a 500-gallon copper pot still nicknamed The Bear, a slower method than the column stills used by most large Kentucky producers.
