W.L. Weller Full Proof is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 114 proof, the same strength at which Buffalo Trace fills its wheated bourbon into barrels. It is non-chill filtered, which leaves more of the oils and texture in the whiskey.
About This Bourbon
There is no age statement. Buffalo Trace brings the mature bourbon back to its barrel-entry strength of 114 proof (57% ABV) and bottles it without chill filtration. The natural oils stay in, which gives a rich mouthfeel and can make the whiskey look cloudy if it gets cold. That haze is harmless.

About the Distillery
Full Proof began with requests from the trade. When Buffalo Trace announced it in March 2019, senior marketing director Kris Comstock said bar owners and shops choosing their own Weller barrels kept asking for non-chill-filtered whiskey, and more drinkers wanted higher proof.
The answer was simple. The distillery fills its wheated barrels at 114 proof, so it bottled Full Proof at that same strength and skipped chill filtration. The first release came out that June with a cork stopper. It has returned as a limited yearly release since then.
