Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch is a bottled-in-bond straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, named for Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr., the whiskey figure who helped define the quality standards behind modern bourbon. Bottled at 100 proof, it carries caramel-corn sweetness, butterscotch and licorice across a classic sipping profile.
From the Producer
Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky traces its whiskey-making lineage to 1773 and is the producer of the Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. line, named for Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr. — the bourbon figure who campaigned for the federal Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 and rebuilt the distillery complex on the Kentucky River. Small Batch is the everyday flagship of the Taylor range: a bottled-in-bond release — aged in federally bonded warehouses and bottled at 100 proof / 50% ABV — built on the distillery's Mash Bill #1 and presented in the E.H. Taylor, Jr. bottle. Sources: Buffalo Trace Distillery (buffalotracedistillery.com) and the E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch product page.
