Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky traces its whiskey-making lineage to 1773 and is the producer of the Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. line, named for Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr. — the bourbon figure who campaigned for the federal Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 and rebuilt the distillery complex on the Kentucky River. Small Batch is the everyday flagship of the Taylor range: a bottled-in-bond release — aged in federally bonded warehouses and bottled at 100 proof / 50% ABV — built on the distillery's Mash Bill #1 and presented in the E.H.
