Very Olde St. Nick “Antique Barrel” 12 Year Lot #03 is a mature Kentucky bourbon aimed at collectors who follow smaller, harder-to-source American whiskey releases. Accessible market references support the age statement, 90.2 proof bottling and lot designation.
From the Producer
Very Olde St. Nick began in the 1980s as a small hand-bottled label putting mature sourced Kentucky stock into bottle, much of it going to the Japanese market where it built its reputation long before American collectors noticed it. It has never been a distillery range: bottles are released lot by lot, each lot drawn from whatever mature barrels were available, which is why the proof and character shift between lots and why the label carries a lot number rather than a batch code.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Caramel, dried fruit, old oak and soft spice.
- Palate: Rounded and mature, with toffee, vanilla, wood spice and a steady bourbon core.
- Finish: Long and warming, with oak, pepper and lingering sweetness.
Best For
Rare-bourbon collectors, private cellars and buyers who want a mature, niche American whiskey release rather than a mass-market bourbon.
