Eagle Rare 10 Year is a classic Kentucky bourbon that balances age, drinkability and brand recognition extremely well. It is a practical premium bottle for gifting and a reliable choice for bourbon drinkers who want a little more maturity than entry-level labels.
From the Producer
Eagle Rare is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey brand owned by the Sazerac Company and distilled at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, which Sazerac has run since acquiring the brand from Seagram in March 1989. The brand was originally created by master distiller Charles L. Beam in 1975 and is bottled at 90 US proof (45% ABV). The standard 10 Year expression is aged in charred new American oak barrels, as required for straight bourbon. Note that the 10 Year age statement was dropped from labels of the standard Eagle Rare in the United States in 2019 and replaced by a single-barrel range; bottles still labelled 10 Year are typically older stock or export labels that retain the age statement.
