Chichibu distillery is a Japanese single malt producer based in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, operated by Venture Whisky Ltd. and founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2007, with production beginning in 2008 (Wikipedia, "Chichibu distillery"). Beyond its core Ichiro's Malt releases, Chichibu issues a stream of country- and city-specific editions for export, of which the 2021 Paris Edition is one, produced for the French market and generally distributed through specialist whisky importers. These export editions draw on the same Chichibu single malt stock but are blended, labelled and bottled for their target market rather than as a single cask.
