Category: Champagne

Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 dressed by the Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, whose smiling flowers cover both the bottle and the gift box. Launched in October 2025, it pairs a sun-baked vintage with a notably playful design.

About This Champagne

2015 was among the hottest and driest seasons ever recorded in Champagne, with almost no rain from May to mid-August. Ripening stalled in some sites, so Vincent Chaperon made a strict selection across the house's grand and premier cru sources, and output fell to about 70% of a normal year. Pinot Noir performed best and makes up 51% of the blend, with 49% Chardonnay. Dosage is under 5 g/l and the wine is bottled at 12.5%.

Tasting Profile

  • Nose: Roasted notes and cocoa first, then linden blossom, jasmine and orange peel with a hint of anise.
  • Palate: Broad and generous, with ripe peach and nectarine, citrus zest and a fine, grippy bitterness.
  • Finish: Toasty and lasting, with a firm, slightly phenolic edge that keeps it fresh.

Serving & Food

Serve at 9 to 10°C in a white-wine glass. This is one of the more forward Dom Pérignon vintages and it drinks well now. Good with roast duck, crispy pork belly or grilled lobster with garlic butter.

How to Enjoy

A striking gift for someone who loves contemporary art as much as Champagne, with a vintage that is ready to open.

About the Maison

Dom Pérignon has a long habit of inviting artists and performers to dress its bottles, with the wine itself left untouched. Recent editions have included collaborations with Lady Gaga, Lenny Kravitz and a tribute to Jean-Michel Basquiat.

For the 2025 holiday season the house asked Takashi Murakami to design two limited editions: Vintage 2015 and the newly launched Rosé Vintage 2010. On the bottle, the vineyard scene normally set inside the shield becomes a landscape of cheerful flowers. Placed side by side, the gift boxes join up into a larger floral picture. Murakami has said he hopes people a century or two from now will look at the label and picture 2025.
